To support our volunteer-run museums of East Devon we are holding a full day of training for museums which hold collections of photographic material – prints, negatives (both film and glass), reel film and slides.
This project will provide volunteers at East Devon museums with:
- a full day’s training, in Volunteer Week in June, on identification, care and use of photographic collections
- a kit of materials and tools for use with their collections
- a half-day’s site visit for at least 4 museums to provide a more detailed assessment of collection needs and help set priorities for improvements and
- further on-line support as they begin to put these improvements in place.
